The Vice Chairman of Egbeda Local Government and Political Head/Administrator of Ajorosun LCDA, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Egbeda Local Government, Ajorosun LCDA, Oyo State, Nigeria, and across the world on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448 AH.

In a goodwill message released to commemorate the beginning of the new Islamic calendar, Hon. Oladebo Simple described the Hijrah celebration as a profound reminder of the virtues of faith, sacrifice, perseverance, humility, peace, and unwavering devotion to the service of Allah and humanity.








 

According to the council administrator, the Islamic New Year presents an opportunity for Muslims and all Nigerians to reflect on the lessons of the historic migration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), while renewing their commitment to righteousness, integrity, peaceful coexistence, and collective responsibility toward nation-building.




He prayed that Almighty Allah would make the year 1448 AH a period filled with abundant blessings, divine guidance, good health, prosperity, and spiritual fulfillment for all Muslim faithful and the entire people of Nigeria.

Hon. Oladebo Simple also offered special prayers for Oyo State and Nigeria, expressing optimism that the new Islamic year would usher in greater peace, stability, unity, and socio-economic progress across the country.

He further prayed for an end to insecurity, violence, criminality, corruption, and other challenges confronting the nation, stressing that sustainable development can only be achieved through unity, mutual understanding, and a shared commitment to the common good.

 

While calling on residents of Egbeda Local Government, Ajorosun LCDA, and Nigerians irrespective of religious, ethnic, or political affiliations to embrace peaceful coexistence, Hon. Oladebo Simple emphasized that Nigeria’s diversity remains one of its greatest strengths and should be harnessed for national growth and development.

The Vice Chairman urged citizens to uphold the values of tolerance, love, compassion, mutual respect, and understanding, noting that these virtues are indispensable for building a peaceful, progressive, and prosperous society.

He also encouraged Muslims to draw inspiration from the lessons of Hijrah by demonstrating exemplary character, selflessness, patience, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of others and the advancement of their communities.

Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful a joyful, peaceful, and rewarding Islamic New Year, while praying for continued peace, progress, and divine blessings upon Egbeda Local Government, Ajorosun LCDA, Oyo State, Nigeria, and the global Muslim Ummah.
