The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Ibadan North Local Government, Oyo State, Nigeria, and across the world on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448 AH.
In a goodwill message made available through his head of media, Hon. Olufade described the Hijrah celebration as a significant moment for reflection on the virtues of faith, sacrifice, perseverance, peace, and devotion to the service of humanity.


















According to the council chairman, the Islamic New Year offers an opportunity for Muslims and Nigerians at large to renew their commitment to moral values, peaceful coexistence, and collective efforts towards nation-building.




He prayed that Almighty Allah would make the year 1448 AH a period of abundant blessings, good health, prosperity, and spiritual upliftment for all Muslim faithful and Nigerians in general.
Hon. Olufade also offered special prayers for Nigeria, expressing hope that the new Islamic year would usher in lasting peace, harmony, stability, and progress across the country.
The chairman further prayed for an end to insecurity, violence, criminality, corruption, and other social vices hindering the nation’s development, stressing the need for unity and cooperation among citizens to achieve sustainable growth and prosperity.





While calling on residents of Ibadan North and Nigerians irrespective of religious, ethnic, and political affiliations to embrace peaceful coexistence, Hon. Olufade emphasized that diversity should be seen as a strength capable of fostering national unity and development.
He urged citizens to uphold the values of tolerance, mutual respect, love, and understanding, noting that such virtues remain essential for building a peaceful and prosperous society.
The Ibadan North chairman further encouraged Muslims to draw inspiration from the lessons of Hijrah by demonstrating good character, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of others.
Hon. Olufade concluded by wishing Muslim faithful a happy and rewarding Islamic New Year, while praying for continued peace, progress, and divine blessings upon Ibadan North Local Government, Oyo State, Nigeria, and the global Muslim community.
