The Bimadek Solidarity Movement (BSM), a political movement established in support of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi, has lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property following the successful rescue of the teachers and pupils abducted in Ahoro Community, Oriire Local Government Area.
Speaking on behalf of the movement, the Chairman of BSM, Hon. Olukunle Mathew Oluwafemi, described the safe return of the victims after 56 days in captivity as a remarkable victory for Oyo State and a clear testament to Governor Makinde’s dedication to the security and welfare of the people.

According to him, throughout the period of the victims’ captivity, Governor Makinde demonstrated exceptional leadership, resilience, and compassion by ensuring that all necessary efforts were coordinated towards securing their freedom.
He noted that the governor remained steadfast in his commitment to the rescue mission and never lost sight of the hopes and concerns of the affected families.
Hon. Oluwafemi stated that the successful rescue further reinforces Governor Makinde’s reputation as a people-oriented leader who places the safety and wellbeing of residents above all else.
He added that the governor’s proactive approach to security, continuous support for security agencies, investment in intelligence gathering, and commitment to inter-agency collaboration have continued to yield positive results across the state.

The BSM Chairman also acknowledged the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in strengthening the nation’s security architecture and creating an enabling environment for security agencies to carry out their constitutional responsibilities effectively.
He further commended the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Amotekun Corps, local vigilante groups, traditional institutions, and community leaders whose collective efforts contributed immensely to the successful rescue operation.
While celebrating the return of the victims, Hon. Oluwafemi urged residents of Oyo State to continue supporting Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, noting that the governor has consistently demonstrated genuine concern for the welfare, security, and development of the people.
He also encouraged citizens to sustain their support for progressive leadership and good governance beyond the current administration, stressing that the continued growth and stability of Oyo State depend on collective commitment to leaders and policies that prioritize the interests of the people.
The BSM Chairman congratulated the rescued teachers, pupils, and their families on their freedom and prayed for their complete recovery from the emotional and psychological impact of the unfortunate experience.

The successful rescue of these teachers and pupils is a reflection of his determination, commitment, and unwavering resolve to ensure that every resident of Oyo State lives in safety and peace.

As a people, we must continue to support efforts aimed at securing our communities and advancing the development of Oyo State.
