The Deputy Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor, Hon. Kazim Adeyinka Adeniyi Bibire, has urged Muslims and Nigerians at large to draw deeper lessons from this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration by embracing unwavering faith, collective sacrifice, and renewed hope for a better nation.

In his Sallah goodwill message to Muslim faithful across Oyo State, Nigeria, and especially residents of the state, Bibire described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred reminder of obedience to God, selflessness, and total trust in divine direction, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim’s historic act of faith.

He noted that the festival goes beyond the slaughtering of rams and festive celebrations, emphasizing that its essence lies in sacrifice, compassion for others, and dedication to building a more peaceful and progressive society.

Bibire encouraged Nigerians not to be discouraged by the prevailing economic realities and security concerns in the country, saying the present difficulties are surmountable if citizens remain united and committed to the collective good.

He expressed optimism that with sustained prayers, responsible leadership, and the resilience of the people, Nigeria would overcome its challenges and move toward lasting stability and development.

According to him, “Eid-el-Kabir reminds us that faith is tested through sacrifice and patience.

Despite the challenges we face as a nation, we must not lose hope. Our strength lies in unity, our progress lies in understanding, and our future remains bright if we continue to work together with sincerity and purpose.”

The Deputy Chief of Staff further urged residents of Oyo State to use the festive period to extend love to the vulnerable, support one another, and promote peace within their communities, stressing that social harmony remains a key pillar of sustainable development.

He also expressed deep concern over the recent kidnapping incident involving school children and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, describing it as distressing and unacceptable.

Bibire called on residents to remember the victims in prayers, seeking divine intervention for their safe rescue and reunion with their families, while also urging security agencies to intensify efforts toward ensuring their prompt release.

“As we celebrate this joyous occasion, we must not forget those in distress.

I join other well-meaning Nigerians in praying for the safe return of our abducted children and teachers in Oriire. May Almighty Allah intervene and bring them back safely,” he added.

He further called for continuous prayers for peace, security, and stability in Oyo State and Nigeria, noting that nation-building requires collective responsibility, sincere leadership, and sustained commitment from all citizens.
