The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Oyo State Governor, Hon. Kazim Adeyinka Adeniyi Bibire, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Her Excellency, Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their conferment with the distinguished traditional titles of Aare Soludero and Yeye Soludero respectively.
The chieftaincy titles were conferred on the Governor and his wife by the Ibarapa Traditional Council at the palace of the Eleruwa of Eruwa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Adedayo Adeagbola.
In a statement, Bibire described the honour as a remarkable recognition of the Governor’s leadership and the First Lady’s commitment to the wellbeing of the people, noting that the conferment carries deep cultural and traditional significance.
He said the recognition by the Ibarapa traditional institution represents an appreciation of Governor Makinde’s administration and its efforts toward creating an environment where peace, development and prosperity can thrive.
According to Bibire, Governor Makinde has distinguished himself through a leadership philosophy centred on service to the people, adding that his administration’s interventions across critical sectors have continued to impact communities throughout Oyo State.
He particularly noted that the Governor’s relationship with traditional rulers has remained cordial and productive, stressing that the traditional institution has an indispensable role to play in promoting peace, community development and social cohesion.
Bibire said the conferment of the Aare Soludero title was a fitting honour for a Governor who has continued to demonstrate a strong commitment to the unity and development of Oyo State.
He also celebrated Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde on her emergence as Yeye Soludero, describing the title as a befitting recognition of her compassion, support for humanitarian causes and commitment to initiatives that improve the lives of women, children and vulnerable members of society.
He noted that the First Lady has complemented the Governor’s administration through her various interventions and advocacy for the welfare and empowerment of citizens.
The Deputy Chief of Staff further described the ceremony as a demonstration of the enduring partnership between the government and traditional institutions in Oyo State.
He commended the Eleruwa of Eruwa and the entire Ibarapa Traditional Council for the honour, saying the gesture reinforces the importance of traditional institutions as partners in the pursuit of sustainable development.
Bibire urged the Governor and his wife to regard the new titles not only as a celebration of their accomplishments but also as an encouragement to continue serving the people with humility, dedication and compassion.
He expressed confidence that the honour would further strengthen the bond between Governor Makinde, the people of Ibarapa and traditional institutions across the state.
While congratulating the couple, Bibire prayed for continued wisdom, strength, sound health and divine guidance for Governor Makinde and his wife as they continue to contribute to the advancement of Oyo State and Nigeria.
He also extended his congratulations to the people of Ibarapa Land, describing the conferment as a proud moment for the entire state and a celebration of the shared values of leadership, service, culture and community.
