Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple, Vice Chairman, Egbeda Local Government, Political Head/Administrator of Ajorosun LCDA and Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) Chairmanship Candidate for Egbeda Local Government, has extended warm congratulations to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Her Excellency, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their conferment with the prestigious chieftaincy titles of Aare Soludero and Yeye Soludero, respectively.
The titles were bestowed on the Governor and First Lady by the Ibarapa Traditional Council at the palace of the Eleruwa of Eruwa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Adedayo Adeagbola, in recognition of their contributions to peace, development and the wellbeing of the people.

In a congratulatory statement, Hon. Oladebo described the honour as a significant recognition of the Governor’s leadership and the First Lady’s contributions to social and humanitarian causes across Oyo State.
He noted that traditional titles occupy a special place in Yoruba society, representing not merely ceremonial distinctions but expressions of respect, acceptance and appreciation from traditional institutions and the communities they represent.
According to him, the conferment of the Aare Soludero title on Governor Makinde and Yeye Soludero on his wife reflects the goodwill and confidence that the Makinde administration continues to enjoy among stakeholders across the state.
Hon. Oladebo particularly commended the Eleruwa of Eruwa and the Ibarapa Traditional Council for recognising the Governor and First Lady, describing the occasion as a demonstration of the enduring relevance of the traditional institution in the affairs of Oyo State.

He stressed that traditional rulers remain important partners in governance because of their close relationship with the people and their deep understanding of the cultural, social and developmental needs of their communities.
The Egbeda Local Government Vice Chairman further praised the cordial relationship between the state government and traditional institutions, saying that constructive collaboration between political leadership and the traditional institution is essential for maintaining peace, unity and sustainable development.
He said Governor Makinde’s administration had, through its focus on infrastructure, education, healthcare, economic development, security and other key areas, demonstrated a commitment to improving the quality of life of residents of Oyo State.
Hon. Oladebo noted that the latest traditional honour further underscores the recognition of the Governor’s leadership beyond political circles and demonstrates the importance of building bridges among government, traditional institutions and citizens.
He also congratulated Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde on her conferment as Yeye Soludero, describing the title as a fitting recognition of her support for the Governor and her commitment to initiatives directed at women, children, families and vulnerable members of society.
The Ajorosun LCDA Political Head/Administrator said the First Lady’s role in supporting social and humanitarian initiatives complements the broader development objectives of the administration and deserves commendation.
Hon. Oladebo urged Governor Makinde and his wife to accept the new titles as both an
honour and a renewed call to service, humility and dedication to the people of Oyo State.
