The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has congratulated the Director-General of the Oyo State Agency for Persons with Disabilities (OYSAPWD), Barrister Ayodele Adekanmbi, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a distinguished public servant whose life and career continue to reflect compassion, courage and commitment to humanity.
In a birthday message made available through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu to felicitate with the OYSAPWD helmsman, Hon. Olufade said Adekanmbi had distinguished himself through his unwavering dedication to improving the lives of persons living with disabilities and ensuring that they are given a meaningful place in the affairs and development of society.
According to him, the celebration of Adekanmbi’s birthday provides an opportunity to recognize not only the gift of his life, but also the positive impact of his service to the people of Oyo State.
“Barrister Ayodele Adekanmbi represents the very best of public service—leadership with compassion, responsibility with humility, and authority with a genuine concern for the people.
“His commitment to the welfare, dignity and rights of persons with disabilities is a testament to his belief that governance must be inclusive and that every citizen, irrespective of physical condition or circumstance, deserves an equal opportunity to contribute to the development of our society.”
Olufade commended Adekanmbi for using his position to promote awareness, advocacy, empowerment and social inclusion, noting that his efforts have helped to strengthen the visibility of persons with disabilities in Oyo State.
The council chairman further observed that building an inclusive society requires leaders who are willing to listen to vulnerable groups, understand their challenges and translate their concerns into meaningful policies and programmes.
He said Adekanmbi’s work at OYSAPWD demonstrates the importance of purposeful leadership in creating a society where persons with disabilities are not defined by their limitations but empowered to realize their full potential.
“On this special occasion, I celebrate your resilience, your intellect, your service and, above all, your humanity.
Your journey is a reminder that public office is most meaningful when it is used to give hope, create opportunities and make life better for others,” Olufade stated.
He prayed that God would continue to grant Barrister Adekanmbi wisdom, sound health, strength and greater opportunities to serve, while wishing him many more years of fulfillment, achievement and impactful contributions to Oyo State and Nigeria.
Hon. Olufade also expressed confidence that Adekanmbi would continue to deploy his legal expertise, administrative experience and passion for humanity toward advancing the cause of inclusion and improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
