The Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP), in collaboration with Lead City University, Ibadan, has announced its 20th International Conference and General Assembly, scheduled to hold from October 5 to 9, 2026, at the International Conference Centre, Lead City University, Ibadan.
The conference, themed “Security Governance and Global Dynamics,” will bring together scholars, peace and security practitioners, policymakers, development partners, researchers, and students from across the globe to deliberate on emerging issues shaping security governance and international relations.



























According to the organisers, participants are expected to arrive on October 5, 2026, ahead of the official opening ceremony on October 6, 2026. The main conference sessions and academic presentations will take place on October 7 and 8, 2026, while activities will continue through October 9, 2026.
The conference provides a platform for intellectual exchange, research presentations, policy discussions, and collaboration among stakeholders working in the fields of peace studies, security, governance, and development.
Interested scholars and participants are invited to submit abstracts on relevant areas aligned with the conference theme.
The deadline for abstract submission is September 1, 2026, while full paper submissions are expected by September 20, 2026.





Conference registration fees are set at ₦30,000 ($20) for SPSP members and ₦40,000 ($26) for non-members.
