Over 20 Mogajis from Ibadanland on Saturday participated in a political engagement at Fresh FM 105.9 Ibadan, where they met with the President of Boye Nation, Ajiboye Akande Sangogade, who reaffirmed his support for Governor Seyi Makinde and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.
The gathering took place during Adekanmbi’s appearance on Political Circuit Exclusive, a live radio programme hosted by The Mayor, Isaac Brown, where the APM candidate discussed his manifesto, key programmes and vision for governing Oyo State if elected in 2027.

The Mogajis were present to welcome Adekanmbi and his deputy governorship candidate, Engr. Muftau Open-Salawu, while also engaging with political stakeholders on the unfolding political situation in the state.
The major highlight of the gathering was the meeting between Sangogade and the Ibadan traditional representatives. During the interaction, the Boye Nation president assured the Mogajis of his firm support for Governor Seyi Makinde and Adekanmbi ahead of the 2027 elections.
Sangogade’s declaration added a significant talking point to the engagement, bringing attention to the political alignments and consultations taking place across Oyo State as preparations gradually intensify for the next governorship election.
The meeting also underscored the intersection of traditional leadership and contemporary politics in Ibadanland, where Mogajis continue to participate in conversations concerning governance, development and the future of the state.

Adekanmbi, during the radio programme, addressed questions about his manifesto and proposed programmes, explaining his vision for Oyo State should he secure the mandate of the electorate in 2027.
The gathering provided an opportunity for political actors and traditional stakeholders to interact as the political landscape continues to evolve ahead of the election.
Sangogade’s reaffirmation of support for Makinde and Adekanmbi was the central political message from his interaction with the Mogajis, placing Boye Nation’s position within the growing conversations surrounding the 2027 governorship contest.
As political activities gather momentum, engagements involving traditional representatives, political movements and candidates are expected to remain part of the process through which stakeholders communicate their positions and expectations for Oyo State’s future.
