Hon. Adigun Abass Agboworin and Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON) have emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates for Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency and Ibadan North Federal Constituency respectively, ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Their emergence followed a high-level stakeholders’ meeting and extensive consultations among party leaders, where a unanimous consensus was reached for both lawmakers to return as the party’s flag bearers in their respective constituencies.
The meeting, which brought together influential party figures, leaders, and key stakeholders, including Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, reaffirmed the PDP’s commitment to unity, continuity, and rewarding performance.
Hon. Agboworin, a ranking member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, was widely endorsed based on his impactful constituency projects, legislative contributions, and consistent engagement with the people.
Similarly, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON), who represents Ibadan North Federal Constituency, secured the confidence of party stakeholders.
Party leaders noted that the decision to grant both lawmakers return tickets was anchored on their proven track records, loyalty to the party, and their capacity to sustain ongoing developmental strides across their constituencies.
