The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship Candidate for the upcoming 2024 local government election in the Atiba Council area, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji (WABKEM), received the PDP certificate of return and the OYSIEC nomination form on Thursday.

While receiving the certificate of return, signifying his eligibility to contest the council poll, at the PDP Party secretariat in Molete, Ibadan, the Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Waliu Adetunji, expressed his appreciation to all PDP leaders in the Oyo federal constituency and party members for their support in making him the preferred candidate for the Council elections.

Wabkem, as he is fondly called, commended the leader of the party in Oyo state, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, for granting him the rare opportunity to serve at the grassroots level of governance in support of his sustainable development agenda. He assured that his administration would excel in delivering the benefits of democracy at the local level.

He further stated that he would use his position to address critical issues concerning local development.

In his words, “Alhamdulillah, I would like to express my gratitude to all PDP Leaders, Stakeholders, and members in the Oyo federal constituency, as well as the royal council for their support under our great party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). I assure everyone that this mandate given to me will never be taken for granted.”

“I would be ungrateful if I fail to appreciate the number one leader of our great party, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, and our esteemed party leaders for their support. Your distinguished wisdom, guidance, and inspiration toward commitment to our party’s principles and objectives have played a vital role in my vision for excellent performance at the grassroots.”

“I pledge to be a candidate with the milk of human kindness, upholding the integrity of public office to provide practical solutions to the suffering of the masses, as outlined in our party’s objectives.”

“Today, the residents of Atiba local government should be prepared for an administration that will transform the royal council, not only representing the party but also serving as the voice of the masses in providing essential services,” he assured.
