Members of the Taqwallah Muslim Community, comprising Akinebi, Gbadewole, Apon, Ile-Ali, Yeosa, Oroge, Kusela, and Otun-Elesin communities in Akinyele and Lagelu Local Government Areas of Oyo State, on Sunday, June 14, 2026, paid an appreciation visit to Oloye Benedict Akika JP, Àgbàákín Olorunda-Abaa and Founder of Omituntun Benedict Forum (OBF).

Speaking on behalf of the communities through a letter signed by Taofeek Ibrahim, the delegation expressed profound gratitude to Akika for his generous donation towards the successful celebration of Eid-al-Adha (Ileya) 2026.

They noted that his gesture reflected the faith, sacrifice, and compassion exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, adding that many families were able to celebrate the festival with joy because of his support.

The community members also offered prayers for Allah’s continued blessings upon Akika, asking that his kindness be accepted as an act of worship and rewarded abundantly.

Responding, Oloye Benedict Akika thanked the delegation for the visit and appreciation.

He stated that helping people and supporting communities has always been part of his life’s mission, stressing that such acts of service mirror the people-centered leadership approach of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

Akika reaffirmed his commitment to humanitarian service and community development, pledging to continue supporting the people for as long as he lives. He further used the occasion to introduce the vision and ideals of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), describing the party as a credible platform for citizens who desire inclusive governance and sustainable development.

In their response, leaders and members of the Taqwallah Muslim Community expressed confidence in Akika’s leadership style and pledged their support for his political direction.

They subsequently declared their alignment with the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), assuring him of their readiness to work with the party in advancing the interests of their communities and the state at large.

The visit concluded with prayers, goodwill messages, and a renewed commitment by both parties to fostering unity, grassroots development, and people-oriented governance.
