Election Mgt C’ttee: Atiba Chairmanship Candidate Wabkem, Celebrates Sen Monsurat Sunmonu’s Appointment As Oyo Zonal Coordinator

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the forthcoming local government elections in Atiba local government, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, and his vice Hon Badmus Olaide Ismail have penned a heartfelt congratulatory message to the former and first woman Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial district, Sen. Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu on her appointment as the head of the Oyo Federal Constituency Local Government Election Management Committee.

It was announced yesterday that the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo State after due consultation with the leader of the party in Pacesetter State, Engr Seyi Makinde have approved Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu and other 10 members to coordinate and oversee the processes and eventual happenings as it concerns the forthcoming local government council elections, through the state party secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke.

In a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo News through the director of media and publicity Wabkem/Olaide Campaign 2024, Hon Ajibola Afeez, Wabkem lauded the resilience, doggedness, and productive leadership of Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, noting that her appointment will solidify the principle of democracy in ensuring fairness, equity and justice.
