In his brief remarks, shortly before commissioning the project for community use, Olatunji said, the gesture was not only timely but is also in line with Governor Seyi Makinde’s Sustainable Development Agenda for grassroots development.
While commending the donor of the project, Olatunji noted that the world has gone past people waiting for government to provide all their community needs adding that no one government could complete the work of governance.
He added the popularity and general acceptability of Governor Makinde across the length and breadth of the state was occasioned by his passion for the people via countless philanthropic gestures via community development, human capacity building and empowerment even before contesting for the Governorship seat.
He urged privileged members of the society not to neglect their communities in term of support stressing that his administration as the Council Chairman, if elected would work closely with Community Development Associations to ensure all ten wards have a feel of governemtn presence.
While urging the Community to protect the project jealously as their own and ensure its well maintained, he assured that, he would domesticate Makinde’s Sustainable Development Action Plan of Govenor Makinde to achieve even spread of development across Oluyole Local Government.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Landlord and Landlady Association in the Community, Mr Ola Akande, thanked the facilitator and donor of the project while equally assuring that the community would make good use and protect the project jealously.
