Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State, Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has intensified his consultations ahead of the 2027 elections, engaging media professionals as part of efforts to broaden his political reach and articulate his vision for the state’s future.

During the meeting, Ajadi underscored the importance of strategic engagement with critical stakeholders, particularly the media, describing it as a key pillar in democratic governance.

He noted that beyond information dissemination, the press plays a central role in shaping public opinion, promoting transparency, and holding leaders accountable.

According to him, fostering a strong relationship with the media is essential to building public trust and ensuring that governance remains inclusive and people-oriented.

Positioning himself as a strong contender in the emerging 2027 race, Ajadi highlighted his leadership experience and business background as indicators of his readiness to govern.

He stressed that his exposure to enterprise management and grassroots interaction has equipped him with the practical knowledge required to address socio-economic challenges and drive sustainable development across the state.

Ajadi also revealed that his decision to venture into politics is driven by a deep sense of purpose, describing it as a divine calling.

He stated that his ambition is not merely personal but rooted in what he believes is a God-ordained responsibility to serve the people and contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.

Central to his message was a commitment to continuity.

Ajadi made it clear that his ambition is not to discard the progress made under the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, but to consolidate and expand it.

He pointed to ongoing strides in infrastructure development, economic growth, and institutional reforms, assuring that his administration would build on these foundations while introducing innovative policies to deepen their impact.

He further explained that his development blueprint would focus on strengthening key sectors, improving the ease of doing business, and creating more opportunities for youths and small enterprises.

By leveraging existing structures and refining governance processes, he said his administration would aim to accelerate growth and ensure that the benefits of development are felt across all parts of the state.

Ajadi’s outreach to the media is also seen as part of a broader strategy to build alliances and gain momentum ahead of the 2027 governorship contest.

As political activities gradually gather pace in Oyo State, Ajadi’s consultations and emphasis on continuity, capacity, stakeholder engagement, and a sense of divine mission highlight the growing intensity of the race and the strategic efforts by aspirants to define their relevance ahead of the polls.
