The immediate Chairman of the Oyo State Pension Board, Late Prince Abdul Fatai Adebayo Adeyemi (D-Gov), was laid to rest at his residence in Oyo township by Islamic clerics.
Bayo battled illness since 2021 but showed signs of recovery in early 2022 when he aspired to contest the Oyo federal constituency primary elections under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Painfully, the deceased would have turned 47 on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
As the procession arrived from the University College Hospital, Ibadan, to his residence, tears flowed freely among attendees, including eminent personalities, local government Chairman, and top politicians.
Many sobbed uncontrollably, while a few managed to hold back their emotions.
The Ansar-ud-deen Society, Oyo branch, led the burial ceremony, with Imam Mikail Mobolaji Adeyemo, Sheik Alawaye, and other Imams and Alfas in attendance.
The Executive Chairman of Oyo East local government, Hon. Prince Alhaji Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, Oyo West Chairman, Hon. Prince Salam Akeem Babatunde Olukitibi, and Atiba LG Mojisola Kafilat Olakojo were present, along with Rt Hon Olawale Maroof Atilola, People’s Democratic Party Leaders, stakeholders, and members in the Oyo federal constituency.
The final prayer for the deceased is scheduled for Sunday, December 10, 2023, at his residence in Akeetan Tuntun, Oyo township.
