The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ibadan North Local Government chapter, has constituted a 13-member Disciplinary Committee to address cases of alleged anti-party activities within the local government.

The decision, which underscores the party’s commitment to discipline, unity, and internal cohesion, was disclosed in a statement made available to the press by the Ibadan North PDP Chairman, Comrade Ademuyiwa Mustapha.

According to the statement, the committee is mandated to investigate complaints against any member accused of engaging in activities that undermine the party’s collective interest across Ibadan North Local Government.

Comrade Mustapha emphasized that due process would be strictly followed, assuring members that anyone accused would be granted a fair hearing before the committee.

 


 

 

“Any member found to be involved in anti-party activities will first appear before the disciplinary committee to defend themselves.

Where such a member is found guilty after thorough investigation, appropriate sanctions, including suspension or expulsion, will be applied in line with the party’s constitution,” the statement read.

The committee is chaired by respected party leader, Baba Ismail Osuolale Ashipa, and comprises notable party stakeholders across various strata of the local government.

Members of the committee include:

  • Alhaji Lukman Agboluaje
  • Mrs. Sulatu Adegboyega (Mama Ishola)
  • Afolabi Nurudeen – Ibadan North PDP Secretary
  • Abegunde Samuel – Ibadan North PDP Legal Adviser
  • Sulemon Hussein – Ibadan North PDP Youth Leader
  • Adebola Abalola – Ibadan North PDP Women Leader
  • Adeagbo Adewumi – Ibadan North PDP Organising Secretary
  • Nwachuku Julian – Special Assistant to Governor on Ibadan North Federal Constituency
  • Ajobo Adam – Ibadan North PDP Ex-Officio
  • Ganiyu Taofeek –Ibadan North PDP Auditor
  • Mr. Adams Akorede Oluwafemi – Ibadan North PDP Financial Secretary

The move is seen as a proactive step to strengthen party discipline and foster unity ahead of future political engagements.

Party faithful have been urged to remain loyal, law-abiding, and committed to the ideals and collective progress of the PDP in Ibadan North Local Government.

The leadership reiterated its resolve to protect the integrity of the party while ensuring fairness and justice for all members.
