In a decisive move aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and reinforcing effective governance at the grassroots level,

the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has approved the immediate termination of the appointments of three political office holders within the council.

Those affected include the Assistant Secretary II of Ibadan North Local Government, Mr. Olaniyi Stephen; the Supervisory Councilor representing Ward 1, Hon. Sakiru Oladele; and the Supervisory Councilor representing Ward 12, Hon. Latifat Latifu.

According to separate termination letters personally signed by the Executive Chairman, the affected officials are to cease holding their respective offices with immediate effect.

 


 

 

The council leadership further directed them to desist from parading themselves as Assistant Secretary or Supervisory Councilors in any capacity henceforth.

In a swift move to ensure continuity of governance and uninterrupted service delivery to residents, Hon. Olufade simultaneously approved immediate replacements for the affected positions.

Mr. Orebinrin Adewumi Ola has been appointed as the new Assistant Secretary II of Ibadan North Local Government, replacing Mr. Olaniyi Stephen.

Hon. Olurinde Kabiru has been named the new Supervisory Councilor representing Ward 1, taking over from Hon. Sakiru Oladele, while Hon. Ayo James has been appointed as Supervisory Councilor representing Ward 12, succeeding Hon. Latifat Latifu.

The council chairman emphasized that the restructuring forms part of ongoing efforts to reposition the local government for enhanced productivity, discipline, and effective service delivery to the people of Ibadan North.

Observers describe the development as a bold administrative step that underscores Hon. Olufade’s commitment to accountability, organizational discipline, and responsive leadership at the grassroots level.
