‎The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed the highest nomination fee for its 2026 internal elections at ₦10 million for the position of National Chairman, as the party released its adjusted schedule of nationwide congresses and the cost of expression of interest and nomination forms.

‎The fees, approved by the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, apply to party offices at national, zonal, state, local government and ward levels ahead of the congresses and national convention.


‎Under the national category, aspirants seeking the office of Deputy National Chairman (North or South) and National Secretary are required to pay ₦7.5 million for nomination forms, while those contesting other national offices will pay ₦5 million.

 


 

 


‎Nomination forms for members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) are pegged at ₦250,000, in addition to an expression of interest fee of ₦100,000 required for all national party positions.


‎At the zonal level, the party fixed the cost of nomination forms for zonal officers at ₦200,000, with an additional ₦100,000 for expression of interest.

‎For state party positions, aspirants for State Chairman are to pay ₦1 million for nomination forms, while State Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer will each pay ₦500,000. Other state offices also attract a ₦500,000 nomination fee, alongside a ₦50,000 expression of interest charge.

‎For local government party offices, nomination forms for Local Government Chairman are priced at ₦100,000, while Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and other offices cost ₦50,000 each, after paying a ₦10,000 expression of interest fee.

‎At the ward level, aspirants will pay ₦20,000 for the nomination form for Ward Chairman, while Ward Secretary, Treasurer, Vice Chairman and other ward offices attract ₦15,000 each, in addition to a ₦5,000 expression of interest fee.

‎The APC noted that female aspirants, youths and persons with disabilities will pay only for the expression of interest forms and 50 per cent of the prescribed nomination fees.

‎All payments are to be made directly into the party’s designated bank accounts, with forms completed online upon verification by the National Secretariat.

‎The congresses are scheduled to take place between January and March 2026, culminating in the party’s national convention slated for March 27 and 28, 2026.
