






Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has promised to rally his friends and associates with a view to raising the sum of N500 million for landmark projects to mark the 40th anniversary of his set’s graduation from the Bishop Philips Academy, Ibadan.
The governor made this promise on Saturday when he attended a reunion of the set, noting that the projects would be a landmark to celebrate his set’s 40th year since graduation and to uplift the school, which shaped him and his classmates into successful individuals.




Governor Makinde, who spoke at the school premises, equally noted that though he had about 16 months left to spend in office, he would still work on impacting the lives of his classmates and the institution.
The governor asked that a 7-man committee should be selected to supervise the projects, with the class agreeing on Foluso Olatunji, Sade Okediji, Kolawole Olalekan, Peluola Adedeji, Samson, Omolara Ayinla and Seye Popoola, to coordinate and supervise the planned projects.
Some of the governor’s former classmates, who attended the event were , Chairman of the Pacesetter Mining Company, Hon. Abiodun Oni; Chairperson of the Oyo State TESCOM, Mrs Bukola Oladipupo; and a Director at the Oyo State Primary Health Care Board, Mrs Omolara Oladeji, among others.
