In a heart-warming display of selfless leadership and people-centered governance, the Councillor representing Ward 10 in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Abeeb Alayande, has once again demonstrated his deep love and commitment to the welfare of his constituents by extending hands of joy, love and relief to the people of his ward during the Yuletide season.
As part of activities to mark the Christmas and New Year celebrations, Hon. Alayande purchased and distributed four yards of Ankara fabric each to members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ward 10, while also sharing food items, including rice, to residents of the ward without discrimination or consideration of party affiliation.
The gesture ensured that all beneficiaries could celebrate the festive season in happiness and dignity.
Speaking with journalists during the distribution exercise, the Ward 10 Councillor, who is widely known for his consistent financial assistance and grassroots interventions, stated that he derives immense joy in putting smiles on the faces of his people, particularly those from his constituency.
According to him, his actions are a fulfilment of the promises he made to the people of Ward 10 before assuming office.
“I promised my people that I would always be there for them, any day and at any time.
This is simply me working my talk. I will never get tired of extending hands of love to my people because that is where my joy comes from,” Hon. Alayande said.
The lawmaker further reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented representation, stressing that service to humanity remains the core of his political philosophy.
In recognition of his outstanding performance and contributions to grassroots development, Hon. Abeeb Alayande was also honoured with an Award of Recognition by the Omituntun Dynamic Forum, UCH Chapter, for his excellence in strengthening and promoting the Omituntun initiatives within the University College Hospital (UCH) community.
The award ceremony attracted notable dignitaries, including the Personal Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde, Alhaji Akeem Azeez, and the Vice Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple, among other party leaders and stakeholders.
While dedicating the award, Hon. Alayande expressed gratitude and humility, dedicating the honour to Ward 10, Ibadan North Local Government, and the entire PDP family.
He pledged to continue delivering quality, responsive and people-driven representation to his constituents.
