
Oluseyi Oyebamiji has congratulated the newly crowned Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on his ascension to the revered throne.
In a goodwill message issued in Ajia village, Ibadan, Oyebamiji described the monarch’s elevation as a blessing to Ibadanland and prayed for his long life, good health and a prosperous reign.
“I heartily felicitate with His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on his well-deserved coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
I pray that the Almighty God grants him wisdom, strength and good health to lead our people. May his reign be marked with peace, unity, and development for Ibadanland and beyond,” Oyebamiji said.
The Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, further noted that the Olubadan stool represents a symbol of unity and tradition for the Ibadan people, expressing optimism that Oba Ladoja’s wealth of experience in leadership and governance would bring renewed progress to the ancient city.
Oyebamiji also called on indigenes and residents, especially in Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency to rally round the new monarch in building on Ibadan’s heritage of peace and cultural pride.
Oba Ladoja who clocked the age of 81 yesterday 25th September, 2025 is a former governor of Oyo State, former senator and a business tycoon. He is being crowned today, Friday 26th September, 2025 at the historic Mapo Hall as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
