A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Dauda Adejare Lawal, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Don on his emphatic victory at the just concluded Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election.
Hon. Lawal, who hails from Ward 12 of Ibadan North, described the victory as a resounding endorsement of the PDP’s popularity and credibility under the purposeful leadership of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE.
In a statement made available to newsmen, he noted that the triumph of Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Don was not just a personal win but a collective victory for the entire Ibadan North and the PDP family across Oyo State.
“This victory is a direct reflection of the good governance and inclusive leadership being enjoyed in Oyo State under Governor Seyi Makinde.
His Excellency has restored the people’s confidence in governance, and that confidence has translated into electoral victories for our party.
Governor Makinde remains the people’s Governor, and we celebrate his visionary leadership that continues to inspire trust and loyalty,” Hon. Lawal said.
The PDP stalwart further expressed deep appreciation to the state and local government executives of the PDP for their unwavering commitment and pivotal roles in ensuring the success of the bye-election.
He particularly lauded the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, for his tremendous contributions and his all-inclusive style of governance, which, according to him, galvanized grassroots support and strengthened the party’s base.
Hon. Lawal also commended all party leaders in Ibadan North and the general membership for their relentless efforts, unity, and sacrifice that culminated in the landslide victory.
He expressed optimism that Hon. Oyekunle Don would justify the mandate of the people with quality representation at the National Assembly, leveraging his grassroots connection, political experience, and passion for service.
