

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has extended warm and heartfelt birthday wishes to a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and renowned philanthropist, Agba-akin Olorunda- aaba, Chief Benedict Akika, describing him as a “wonderful brother and a rare gem.”
In his congratulatory message made available through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu, Hon. Olufade expressed deep joy in celebrating Chief Akika, whom he hailed as a dependable brother, committed party loyalist, and passionate advocate of good governance under the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.
“Today, I am truly happy to celebrate a man of immense value and purpose — Chief Benedict Akika, the Agbaakin Olorunda Aaba and the Mayegun of Akobo.
He is not just a political ally, but my wonderful brother whose life continues to inspire hope, compassion, and unwavering service to the people,” Hon. Olufade said.
The chairman commended Chief Akika’s consistent dedication to humanitarian service through the Omituntun Benedict Foundation (OBF), which has empowered numerous widows, youth, and indigent families across Ibadan and beyond.
He also praised Akika’s steadfast loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership and his relentless grassroots mobilization for the PDP.
