

The Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Akinsete Olakunle, has felicitated with the federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, on his recent conferment as the Odidiomo of Ibadanland by the Olubadan of Ibadan, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin.
In the same vein, Hon. Akinsete also congratulated Hon. Olajide’s wife, Alhaja Adenike Shakirat Olajide, who was conferred with the title Yeye Odidiomo of Ibadanland, acknowledging her supportive role and joint commitment to community development alongside her husband.
In his congratulatory message, Hon. Akinsete described the chieftaincy titles as a “well-deserved honour” that reflects Hon. Olajide’s unwavering commitment to grassroots development, quality representation, and progressive leadership that has continually advanced the interest of Ibadanland.
“This noble recognition is a reflection of your unwavering commitment to the growth and development of our beloved Ibadanland, your consistency in quality representation, and your deep-rooted connection with the people,” Akinsete noted.
The conferment, officially communicated through a letter dated June 27, 2025, and signed by Prince Olasunmbo Owolabi Olakulehin, Special Adviser to the Olubadan, was based on Hon. Olajide’s “valuable contributions to the development and progress of Ibadanland” and his tireless representation of the city at the national level.
The installation ceremony is slated to hold between July 4 and July 13, 2025, as part of events marking the 90th birthday and first coronation anniversary of the Olubadan at the New Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan.
Hon. Olajide, who currently chairs the House of Representatives Committee on Digital, Information Communication Technology and Cybersecurity, is celebrated for his impactful empowerment programmes, youth-centered initiatives, and unmatched accessibility to constituents.
Hon. Akinsete concluded by praying for the couple’s continued success, describing the recognition by the Olubadan as a source of inspiration for further service to Ibadanland.
