As Muslims observe Ramadan and Christians continue their Lenten fast, Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi, a former Ward 12 Councillor and aspirant for the Ibadan North Federal House of Representatives seat, has generously donated food items to the leaders, executives, and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North Local Government.
The donation took place yesterday at the Ibadan North PDP Secretariat in Yemetu, Ibadan.
The food packages included essential items such as rice, semovita, groundnut oil, and salt.
Receiving the items on behalf of the party were Comrade Mustapha, Vice Chairman of Ibadan North PDP; Hon. Adewumi Adeagbo, Ibadan North PDP Secretary; and Hon. Julian Nwachuku, Ibadan North PDP Women Leader.
Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi donated 12 bags of rice—one for each ward in Ibadan North.
Additionally, he provided 12 special packages for the 12 ward chairmen, 18 packages for the local government PDP executives, and 36 special packages for party leaders, ensuring that three leaders in each ward benefited.
Expressing gratitude to the party leadership, Hon. Oyeniyi reaffirmed his commitment to the party’s growth and unity.
He prayed that the holy month of Ramadan and the Lenten season bring joy, happiness, and development to the PDP, Ibadan North, and Oyo State.
He also extended his best wishes for a happy Eid and Easter celebration in advance.
