In a commendable effort to promote sports development, Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, a prominent PDP chieftain in Ibadan North Local Government, has again sponsored tickets for 20 youths from his political ward (Ward 10) to attend the highly anticipated South West vs North West derby match.
The match features the Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan and Kano Pillars, scheduled to kick off at 5:30 PM today.
Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, an ardent supporter and lover of the Shooting Stars Football Club, fondly known as the Oluyole Warriors, took this initiative to foster a spirit of community and enthusiasm for football among the youth in his ward.
By providing these tickets, he aims to encourage local support for the home team and promote a healthy sporting culture.
In his statement, Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami urged the residents of Ibadan North Local Government, where the Lekan Salami Stadium is located, to come out in large numbers to cheer for the Shooting Stars Football Club.
He also called on all football lovers in Oyo State to fill the stadium to the brim and support the Oluyole Warriors to victory.
