A new movement dedicated to positive transformation, leadership development, and societal impact was officially birthed on September 19, 2026, in the ancient city of Ibadan.
The Kunle Awotiku Solidarity Group (KASG), a vision nurtured for over nine years, was launched as a platform designed to inspire personal growth, community development, and responsible citizenship among individuals committed to creating meaningful change in society.
The initiative was founded by Amb. Dr. Kunle Awotiku, Director of Strategy and Senior Special Adviser on Political Matters to Hon. Olufunke Comforter, Member representing Ibadan North Constituency 1 in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
Amb. Dr. Awotiku is widely recognised as a youth advocate, life coach, author, public speaker, philanthropist, and strategist whose contributions to societal development span various fields, including career guidance, education, public service, politics, and human capacity development.
Speaking at the launch, the visioneer explained that the birth of KASG was driven by a desire to continuously empower individuals and promote values that will positively influence society.
According to him, the group was established as a connected community where members can express themselves, develop their abilities, and become relevant contributors to societal advancement.
“KASG is a platform for individuals who desire positive development for themselves, their immediate environment, and society at large.
We are committed to raising people who will become agents of meaningful change,” he stated.
The launch meeting, which began with about 40 participants, has grown rapidly, with the group now boasting close to 150 members spread across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State.
While clarifying the identity of the organisation, Amb. Dr. Kunle Awotiku stated that the group is not a political organisation but acknowledged that it would remain actively engaged in the political space at both state and national levels through advocacy, civic participation, and support for responsible leadership.
He outlined the vision, mission, and core values of the group, highlighting critical challenges affecting society, including poor career choices, unemployment, leadership gaps, wasted talents, insecurity, and youth involvement in crime.
He noted that many of these challenges are connected to inadequate attention to human development, governance, and social responsibility, adding that KASG would work towards addressing these issues by empowering people and promoting positive values.
The visioneer expressed appreciation for the diversity of professionals who have joined the movement, describing their involvement as a strong foundation for achieving the objectives of the group.
He further revealed that KASG would support credible individuals with a genuine commitment to service across different levels of governance, while maintaining its focus on community development and societal progress.
The inaugural meeting was marked by gestures of appreciation and goodwill, as attendees received transportation support, gifts, and tickets to an upcoming event scheduled for the following month.
The occasion also featured the celebration of a member whose birthday coincided with the launch, with Amb. Dr. Kunle Awotiku joining others in honouring him.
Continuing its commitment to empowerment, the group, on September 25, 2026, brought together entrepreneurs from different sectors who will serve as facilitators in equipping members of the society with valuable knowledge, skills, and opportunities.
The entrepreneurs also expressed their willingness to become part of the Kunle Awotiku Solidarity Group, further strengthening the movement’s mission of building a network of empowered individuals committed to positive societal transformation.
With its expanding membership and clear focus on human development, KASG aims to become a platform where ideas, talents, and collective action converge to create lasting impact across Oyo State and beyond.
