The lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN), has congratulated the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, on his emergence as the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) chairmanship candidate for a second term ahead of the 2026 Local Government Election.

Olufade emerged as the party’s consensus candidate following the unanimous endorsement of party leaders and stakeholders, a development that has been widely described as a reflection of the confidence reposed in his leadership and performance in office.

In a congratulatory statement, Hon. Oyekunle described Olufade’s re-emergence as a well-deserved recognition of his commitment to grassroots development, inclusive governance, and quality leadership.

The federal lawmaker noted that the overwhelming support enjoyed by the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman was a testament to his impressive record in office and the trust he has earned from the people and stakeholders across the local government.

According to Oyekunle, “Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade’s emergence as the APM consensus candidate for a second term is a clear demonstration of his leadership prowess and the confidence the people have continued to repose in him.

He has consistently shown dedication to the growth and development of Ibadan North, making him the people’s choice.”

He further stated that Olufade’s style of governance has strengthened the bond between the government and the people, expressing confidence that the chairman would consolidate on his achievements if re-elected.

The lawmaker also commended the leadership of the Allied Peoples Movement for embracing consensus, describing the process as a demonstration of unity, maturity, and commitment to the collective interest of the party.

Hon. Oyekunle wished Olufade a successful campaign and victory at the forthcoming polls, urging party members and supporters to remain united and committed to ensuring another resounding electoral success for the APM in Ibadan North Local Government.
