In a significant step towards advancing educational development and digital innovation in Ibarapa Central, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke Ayodele has officially laid the foundation for the construction of a modern 500-seater ICT/CBT Centre at Lajorun High School, Oke Iserin, Igboora.

The center will be equipped with 500 laptops, power supply with solar power and generator , Furniture together with full internet access.




The landmark project, facilitated through the collaborative efforts of Ibarapa Central Local Government and the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) is aimed at enhancing access to digital education, computer-based examinations and technology-driven learning opportunities for students and youths across the local government area.

The foundation-laying ceremony attracted community leaders, religious leaders, education stakeholders and residents who gathered to witness what many described as a transformative project capable of shaping the future of education in the community.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Olusola Adeleke described the project as a strategic investment in the future of young people, noting that education and technology remain critical tools for sustainable development and economic growth.

According to the Chairman, the ICT/CBT Centre will provide a conducive environment for computer-based examinations, digital learning, skills acquisition and other educational activities designed to prepare students for opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven world.

โ€œThis project is a clear demonstration of our commitment to educational advancement and youth development. We believe that equipping our students with modern facilities and technological tools is essential to preparing them for future challenges and opportunities.

This centre will serve not only Lajorun High School but the entire Ibarapa Central community,โ€ he stated.

Hon. Adeleke expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde (FNSE) for approving the construction of the 500-seater ICT/CBT Centre, describing the Governor as a visionary leader whose commitment to educational transformation continues to reshape the future of Oyo State.

He noted that the project reflects Governor Makinde’s steadfast investment in human capital development and his resolve to provide modern educational infrastructure that empowers students with the digital skills required to compete in today’s technology-driven world.

The Chairman further appreciated the support and partnership of TESCOM in making the project a reality, while reaffirming his administration’s determination to continue investing in projects that directly impact the lives of the people.

In his remarks, the Chief Imam of Oke Iserin, Alhaji Najeem Morawo offered special prayers for the successful execution and timely completion of the project.

He commended Hon. Olusola Adeleke for initiating such a landmark educational project in the community, describing the foundation laying as a significant step toward educational advancement and youth empowerment.

He expressed optimism that the proposed ICT/CBT Centre would become a lasting legacy that future generations would be proud of.

Representatives of the community, Mr Omotosho also expressed their excitement and appreciation, noting that the proposed ICT/CBT Centre would greatly improve educational opportunities for students and strengthen academic excellence within the area.

The event was marked by widespread jubilation as residents applauded the Chairman’s commitment to educational transformation and grassroots development.
