The Executive Assistant to the Governor of Oyo State on Security Coordination, Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba, has felicitated with Muslim faithful in Ibadan North Local Government, Oyo State, Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging them to continue to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, love, obedience, peace and compassion as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba made this known in his Eid-el-Kabir message made available to journalists on Wednesday, where he described the annual Islamic festival as a sacred period for sober reflection, renewed faith, unity and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
The Governor’s aide noted that Eid-el-Kabir remains one of the most significant celebrations in Islam, stressing that the festival serves as a reminder to humanity on the importance of selflessness, tolerance, kindness and service to mankind.
Speaking further, De-Bomba described this celebration as uniquely special to him, noting that the name “Kabir” in Eid-el-Kabir aligns with his own name, Kabiru Salami De-Bomba.
According to him, “The the name Kabir in Eid-el-Kabir with my own name, Kabiru Salami De-Bomba, makes this celebration particularly unique and personally meaningful to me.
It is another opportunity to appreciate Almighty Allah for His countless blessings and mercies upon our lives.”
The security coordinator also used the occasion to reaffirm his unalloyed loyalty, unwavering support and commitment to the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, whom he described as a visionary and people-oriented leader committed to the growth, development and security of Oyo State.
He commended Governor Makinde for what he called remarkable strides in governance, infrastructural development, economic growth and security architecture across the state, adding that the governor has continued to distinguish himself as a symbol of purposeful leadership and good governance.
Hon. De-Bomba further declared his total support for the presidential ambition of Governor Seyi Makinde ahead of the 2027 general election, expressing confidence in the governor’s capacity, competence and leadership qualities to lead Nigeria to greater heights.
He also offered prayers for the success and victory of Governor Makinde in his future political aspirations, praying that Almighty Allah grants him divine wisdom, strength, sound health and favour.
“I use this special occasion to pray for the success, victory and greater accomplishments of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, in all his future endeavours, particularly ahead of the 2027 general election.
May Almighty Allah continue to guide, protect and strengthen him for greater service to humanity and Nigeria as a whole,” he stated.
The Governor’s aide equally prayed for lasting peace, tranquility and stability in Nigeria, with particular emphasis on Oyo State, urging citizens to continue to support government efforts at maintaining security and peaceful coexistence.
He also expressed concern over the plight of victims and communities affected by insecurity, especially the kidnapped victims’ community in Oriire Local Government area of Oyo State, praying for divine intervention, comfort and speedy restoration of peace in the affected community.
Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba prayed that Almighty Allah grants succour to affected families, protects residents from every form of insecurity and restores hope, peace and happiness to all troubled communities across the state and the nation at large.
He further prayed for continuous peace, joy, progress and everlasting happiness in Oyo State, while wishing Muslim faithful and residents of Ibadan North Local Government a peaceful, memorable and fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
“May this sacred celebration bring abundant blessings, peace, prosperity and renewed hope to every family in Oyo State, Nigeria and across the world. Eid Mubarak to all Muslim faithful,” he added.
