The lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Folajimi Oyekunle, has officially defected to the Allied Peopleโs Movement, marking a significant political development in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 political season.
This was made known to journalists by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Akinwale Bodija, shortly after serving lawmakers who recently resigned from the Peopleโs Democratic Party paid a strategic visit to the governorship candidate backed by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
Speaking with newsmen, Bodija stated that he could authoritatively confirm that Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as DON, is now a fully registered member of the Allied Peopleโs Movement (APM).

According to him, the federal lawmakerโs decision followed extensive consultations with political associates, supporters, and stakeholders across Ibadan North Federal Constituency and beyond.

This is a strategic political movement aimed at sustaining progressive and people-oriented representation for the good people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency,โ Bodija said.
He further disclosed that in the coming days, the lawmaker and his political structure would commence massive awareness and mobilisation across the constituency to sensitise supporters and residents on the new political direction.
Bodija added that the movement to APM reflects the growing realignment within Oyo State politics, noting that the federal lawmaker remains committed to quality representation, grassroots development, and the welfare of the people.
