Today is indeed a pivotal constitutional milestone in my quest to serve the good people of Oyo State as I presented myself before the APC Gubernatorial Screening Committee.
I am pleased to announce that the exercise was concluded with a convincing and highly satisfactory outcome which served as a validation of my candidacy and my standing within the progressive fold.
The interaction was characterised by intellectual depth and mutual respect, confirming that our great party remains a bastion of merit-driven leadership.
This successful screening is not merely a personal victory; it is a clear signal that our movement is built on a foundation of integrity and institutional readiness.
During the session, I had the invaluable opportunity to engage the committee on ‘the AKK difference’—a vision centered on the practical mechanics of better governance.
I provided a comprehensive briefing on my 20-Point Agenda, illustrating how our plans for mechanised agriculture, educational stipends, and industrialisation will fundamentally recalibrate the economy of our state.
I reiterated that what sets our movement apart is the rare combination of my good conscience and the unwavering will to execute difficult yet necessary reforms.
I made it clear that governance, in its truest sense, is a test of character as much as it is a test of intellect, and I reaffirmed my readiness to lead with both.
I feel profoundly grateful and fulfilled for the privilege of participating in this screening. There is a unique sense of purpose that comes from presenting one’s life’s work and aspirations before the custodians of our party’s values.
Beyond the formal questioning, the atmosphere afforded a brilliant opportunity to interact with fellow progressives and exchange ideas on the future of our state.
It is these moments of internal democratic engagement that strengthen the fabric of the APC, and that reminds us that we are a family bound by a shared commitment to the common good and the restoration of the “Pacesetter” legacy through a “Realistic Tomorrow.”
With this successful screening, the path toward the primary election is now clearly illuminated. I am more prepared than ever to take our message to every ward and every local government area.
In the coming days, I shall intensify my engagement with our esteemed delegates and party members, and ensure that every vote cast is an informed endorsement of a plan that works.
These administrative steps are not mere formalities; they are the fundamental building blocks of the institutional change we seek.
We are not just building a campaign, but we are also instituting a consensus for progress that is anchored on logic, loyalty, and the welfare of the masses.
My resolve remains unshaken and my vision remains clear as we approach the decision stage. We have a meticulously crafted plan to change Oyo State for the better, and every step we take brings us closer to reclaiming the Agodi Government House from the current administration.
I urge all my supporters and party faithful to remain focused and mobilised. The journey has entered its most critical league, and I am confident that with your support and the grace of the Almighty, we will emerge as the vessel through which the true glory of Oyo State is restored in 2027.
