Hon. Akinsete Olakunle, an Oyo State House of Assembly aspirant for Ibadan South West Constituency II from Ward 11, Ibadan South West Local Government, has officially resigned his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement made available to the public, Hon. Akinsete described his resignation from the party as a difficult but necessary decision taken after deep reflection and extensive consultations with supporters, political associates, and stakeholders across the constituency.

According to him, the lingering internal challenges within the party and the need to embrace a new political direction informed his decision ahead of future political engagements.

“I have officially resigned my membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This was not an easy decision for me considering the years of loyalty, dedication, and active participation I invested in the party, but at this point, I believe it is necessary for my political future and the aspirations of my supporters,” he stated.

Hon. Akinsete confirmed that his resignation letter has been duly submitted to the appropriate PDP leadership in Ward 11, Ibadan South West Local Government.
