
In a remarkable demonstration of grassroots leadership and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people, the Councillor representing Ward 6 in Ibadan North Local Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Faira, has once again recorded a major milestone by disbursing financial empowerment to no fewer than 180 constituents.

The empowerment programme, which took place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward 6 meeting ground, Saint Gabriel Secondary School, attracted a massive turnout of residents, party faithful, and community stakeholders who gathered to witness the impactful initiative.

This latest intervention marks a significant step up from a similar exercise previously carried out by the councillor, where 100 constituents benefitted, further underscoring his growing dedication to expanding the reach of his empowerment programmes.

















At the well-attended event, beneficiaries received financial support in sealed envelopes, a gesture widely applauded as timely and impactful amid prevailing economic challenges.





The atmosphere was charged with appreciation and excitement as constituents expressed gratitude for what many described as a life-changing intervention.

Residents of Ward 6 did not mince words in showering encomiums on Alhaji Faira, describing him as “the best councillor in the history of the ward.”

They commended his consistent efforts in delivering the dividends of democracy to every corner of the community.






Beyond financial empowerment, the councillor has distinguished himself through several people-oriented initiatives.
These include the organisation of vocational training programmes aimed at equipping residents with practical skills, as well as the launch of the “Operation Keep Sabo Clean” initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, targeted at promoting environmental sanitation within the community.

In the education sector, Alhaji Faira has made notable contributions through the donation of writing, teaching, and learning materials to schools across the ward, including Islamic educational centres, thereby supporting both formal and informal education.
