A prominent Ibadan chief, community leader, and respected voice of tradition and faith, Chief Abeeb Alayande, the Ekerin Balogun Baale of Idi Ape, Iwo Road; Akogun of Elenusonso, Ido Ibadan; and Akeweje Adinni of Elenusonso, has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Senator) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusamajere I, on his glorious coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Chief Alayande described Kabiyesi as a living legend whose journey to the throne is a testament of destiny, patience, and divine favour.
He noted that Oba Ladoja’s life story from his humble beginning in Gambari, through his education in Belgium, his remarkable career in business, his service as a Senator and Governor, and now as the Olubadan is one that inspires generations of Ibadan sons and daughters.
“With the coronation of Oba Ladoja, Ibadan has once again proven that tradition, patience, and divine order remain unshakable pillars of our chieftaincy system.
Kabiyesi is not only a monarch; he is a statesman, a father, and a guiding light for Ibadanland,” Chief Alayande remarked.
He also expressed joy in sharing the same bond of brotherhood and fellowship with Oba Ladoja as members of the Ibadan Progressive Union, noting that Kabiyesi has always carried Ibadan’s identity with pride, dignity, and unwavering loyalty.
“As a son of Ibadanland and as one who holds the honour of serving our people through various traditional and religious titles, I am overjoyed to witness this historic moment.
Kabiyesi’s coronation is a blessing not just to Ibadan but to the entire Yoruba race,” he said.
Chief Alayande prayed that the reign of Oba Ladoja would bring unprecedented peace, unity, and development to Ibadanland. He also prayed for Kabiyesi’s good health, long life, and divine wisdom in guiding the affairs of the land.
“On behalf of my family, the people of Idi Ape, Iwo Road, Elenusonso, and all who I represent, I say a big congratulations to our beloved Kabiyesi.
May your reign be long, fruitful, and prosperous. May Ibadan continue to flourish under your fatherly leadership,” Chief Abeeb Alayande concluded.
