Ibadanland is enveloped in grandeur and gratitude as it celebrates a rare and royal double milestone, the 90th birthday and one-year anniversary on the throne of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Amidst the sea of tributes pouring in, Mogaji Mojeed Olabode Olaleye Olaniran of the esteemed Ibikunle Abaa Royal Dynasty, Abaa Compound, Labiran Ibadan, has extended a warm and regal felicitation to the revered monarch, praising his impactful and dignified leadership over the past year.
In his message, Mogaji Mojeed described the Olubadan as “a divine symbol of wisdom, peace, and unwavering dedication to the cultural and traditional heritage of Ibadanland.”
He further stated:
“Kabiyesi’s reign, though just a year, has brought a renewed sense of unity, calm, and cultural pride to the ancient city.
As we also celebrate his 90th birthday, we pray that his days on the throne continue to be long, fruitful, and filled with grace.”
The message concluded with the timeless Yoruba blessing: “Kí adé pé lórí, kí bàtà pé l’ẹsẹ” – May the crown remain long on your head and the royal slippers stay firmly on your feet.
