Political functionaries in Ward 11 of Ibadan North Local Government have provided financial assistance to 150 constituents, demonstrating their commitment to community welfare.


The ward, which is divided into four zones—Sango, Poly, Samonda, and U.I—ensured that beneficiaries from each zone received a fair share of the support, with each recipient receiving ₦10,000.

Speaking at the Ward 11 PDP meeting yesterday, Hon. Abiola Sunday Shomolu, the Councillor representing Ward 11, commended all political functionaries in the ward for their unity and dedication to uplifting constituents.

While distributing another batch of financial assistance, he emphasized the continuous commitment of the ward’s political leaders to the welfare of their people.

Hon. Abiola Sunday Shomolu acknowledged key political figures who contributed to the initiative, including Hon. Adebowale Falana, Chairman of the Oyo State Youth Development Agency; Hon. Abiola Sunday Shomolu, Ward 11 Councillor; Hon. Eitomhen Emmanuel (Kalor), Supervisory Councillor on Security, Ibadan North; Hon. Olaniyi Stephen, Assistant Secretary of Irepodun LCDA; Hon. Femi Afolabi, Supervisory Councillor on Social Inclusion, Ibadan North; and Dr. Lasisi, Acting Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

He reiterated that the political functionaries of Ward 11 are deeply concerned about the welfare of all constituents and assured that such interventions would continue.
He also expressed gratitude to PDP members in Ward 11 for their unwavering commitment to promoting the party’s values and urged them to remain united, as unity fosters progress and development.

The beneficiaries, upon receiving their financial support, expressed deep appreciation and offered prayers for the donors, seeking continued blessings for them.

The initiative has been widely lauded as a significant step in improving the well-being of residents in Ward 11.
