The lawmaker representing Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West federal constituency of Oyo state, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, has commended Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering commitment to developing the state.

Hon. Olajide, stated this, while lauding the governor’s efforts at the flag off of the upgrading of the Ibadan Airport to international standard, describing it as a “giant stride” that would boost the state’s economy.

In a statement by his Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Olajide praised Makinde’s leadership, which he said, has laid a solid foundation for a better Oyo State.

He noted that the governor’s effort has transformed the state’s infrastructure, education, healthcare and security sectors.

The federal lawmaker specifically highlighted Makinde’s achievements in township road upgrade, establishment of smart schools, state-of-the-art healthcare delivery, improved security welfare, social security among others.

“His developmental strides are unprecedented and we are proud to associate with his achievements,” Olajide stated.

Olajide, according to the statement, also expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would continue to govern the state beyond Makinde’s administration, come 2027, banking on the myraid of laudable achievements recorded by the current PDP led government in the state since it’s inception in 2019.

He stated further that, Governor Makinde has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision and the people of the state are committed to ensuring that the PDP continues to govern Oyo State beyond 2027, banking on the solid foundation laid being put in place currently in the state.

“The Seyi Makinde’s administration has shown that good governance is possible. We will continue to support him and ensure that our party remains the preferred choice for Oyo State people,” the statement concluded.
