Oyo Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Ms. Wasilat Adegoke, has officially declared the Youth Empowerment Drive Program open, encouraging participants to maximize the opportunity to develop their skills and become entrepreneurs.

The program which is an initiative of the Oyo State Government under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde aim to empower youths with the necessary skills, training, and resources to become self-reliant and contributors to the state’s economic growth.

Ms. Adegoke, while addressing the participants, emphasized the importance of youth empowerment in building a prosperous future for the state. She urged the participants to take full advantage of the program, which offers training in various areas, including entrepreneurship, leadership, and vocational skills.

“The Oyo State Government is committed to investing in your future,” Ms. Adegoke said. “This program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in your chosen fields. I encourage you all to be dedicated, focused, and committed to maximizing this opportunity.”

The Youth Empowerment Drive Program is part of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration’s efforts to reduce unemployment and promote youth development in Oyo State. The program has already attracted a large number of applicants, and the selected participants are eager to begin their journey to entrepreneurship and self-reliance.

With the official launch of the program, participants will begin their training, which will be facilitated by experienced professionals and entrepreneurs. The program also includes mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to funding for business start-ups.

As Ms. Adegoke declared the program open, she also encouraged the participants to be agents of change and contribute to the development of Oyo State. The Commissioner’s enthusiasm and encouragement were evident as she interacted with the participants, urging them to strive for excellence and make the most of the opportunity.
