The Member representing Ibadan North West/South West federal constituency, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, has called for the automation of processes, workflow, and revenue-generating agencies to enhance productivity and reduce the cost of governance.

Speaking during a 2-Day Retreat for members of the House of Representatives on economic transformation and development, Hon. Olajide emphasized the need for digital transformation, collaboration among security agencies, and the deployment of technology to combat corruption.

He highlighted the importance of defining security frameworks to protect investments and improve confidence, stating that “ICPC and EFCC should leverage technology to reduce corruption and improve their operations.”

Hon. Olajide also stressed the need for automation of rules and business motion, duplication, and bills and workflow automation, saying “this will enhance efficiency and reduce unnecessary delays.”

Furthermore, he declared a “state of emergency in digital literacy” and advocated for digital identity and data consolidation, emphasizing that “automation of all revenue-generating agencies is crucial for effective governance.”

The retreat, which aimed to discuss strategies for accelerating economic transformation and development in Nigeria, featured presentations by experts, panel discussions, and brainstorming sessions.
