Continuing their familiarization tour to secure massive victory for PDP Chairmanship Candidate Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, alongside his vice Hon. Badmus Ismail Olaide and all Councilorship candidates, Market Leaders and traders in Saabo have declared their support and adopted them as their consensus candidates.
The official declaration was announced yesterday at the Market Traders Secretariat building in Saabo, Oyo township.
Present were their chairman, Alfa Mikail Asoje, Egbe Olowo, Mrs. Risikat Muritala Aduke, Baba Mudashiru Oniyanbi, Baba Odedokun, Market Traders Management Committee, Mikail Akodudu, Secretary, Prince Taiwo Wasiu Adedokun, Baba J.P Okediji, and several others.
In their separate remarks, the traders stated that the Chairmanship candidate’s track record speaks volumes, epitomizing the Yoruba adage tagged ‘Omoluabi’ as a sincere philanthropist, and claiming he’s their thoroughbred son.
“Governor Seyi Makinde’s good governance and support shown to market traders during the COVID-19 and EndSars era project him as a true statesman determined to transform the pacesetter.
We couldn’t believe such a gesture from a State Governor would directly benefit us, making us the food basket of the State.”
“We strongly believe that you’ll deliver appropriately according to your manifestos, in line with the new design for our market standards and cash empowerment to enhance our productivity.
Mr. Mikail Akodudu emphatically stated that the PDP candidate has been adopted as their consensus candidate, promising to ensure their victory with massive votes come this weekend’s Saturday.
Equally, the residents of Boroboro Community in Ward 07, Isale-Yidi area, comprising seven communities, threw their weight behind the PDP candidate, declaring that PDP remains the only party with the greater edge to win the upcoming elections.
Speaking on behalf of the Chairman of the Boroboro community landlord association, Deacon Adeyemo highlighted the importance of voting for PDP candidates in the forthcoming chairmanship and councillorship election to ensure continuity in governance, enabling citizens to reap the benefits of democracy and make their voices heard.
He stressed that the votes of the electorate were crucial in shaping the future of their communities and urged PDP candidates to continue building upon the progress already made, adding that the PDP’s vision for the constituency is one of progress, development, and a better quality of life for all.
Deacon Adeyemo lauded the humanity of the Chairmanship candidate in gaining popular recognition by the masses and urged him not to relent in providing succor to the needy. He assured them of massive winning across units and wards in the Royal Council.
In his remarks, the Chairmanship candidate of PDP, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, appreciated the large crowd for their support, stating that his restoration agenda will seek to transform the Royal Council back to its lost glory.
He promised to work accordingly to the blueprints, emphasizing democratic dividends at the top-notch.
“We have the capacity to deliver good governance, and we’ll provide a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, community development, equitable standards of living, and improve the local economy,” Wabkem assured.
In his entourage were Atiba PDP Party Chairman, Hon. Kabiru Ashamu, Hon. Goke Azeez, Hon. Kehinde Aleem, all PDP local executives, team Wabkem/Olaide 2024, women leaders, stakeholders, and several others.
