Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo state, has officially presented the 2024 budget proposal, amounting to N434.2 billion. This proposal, named the Budget of Economic Recovery, embodies the state’s collective desires and aspirations.
During the plenary session on Tuesday, Governor Makinde emphasized the allocation of N222.337 billion for capital expenditure and N221.884 billion for recurrent expenditure. The capital expenditure represents a 2.4 percent increase compared to recurrent expenditure, according to the governor.
Makinde urged the Assembly to swiftly review and approve the budget, underscoring its importance for the well-being of the people in Oyo state.
