The Academic Staff Union Of Universities(ASUU) has officially announced its participation in the nationwide indefinite strike called by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC).

In a circular addressed to zonal coordinators and chairpersons, ASUU’s National President, Emmanuel Osodeke, instructed members to commence the strike from Monday midnight in solidarity with the broader labor movement.

This decision aligns with the NLC and TUC’s response to the reported assault on NLC President Joe Ajaero, purportedly carried out by the Nigerian police and the Imo State government.
