In a step towards admission of the first set of students into the newly upgraded Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo and in an effort to provide a conducive learning environment for the students, Vice Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan has received the report of the seven (7)-member panel set up by the University Management to work out modalities to fully put into use the newly constructed hostel accommodation for female students of the university.

According to a release by the Special Assistant on Media Matters to the Vice Chancellor, Wale Adeoye, the Committee Chairperson, Dr. Mrs. Ikeoluwa Adeoye while presenting the report to the Vice Chancellor, appreciated him and the University Management for finding them worthy to serve in the committee. “Mr. Vice Chancellor Sir, I present to you today the report of the University committee set up to work out modalities to fully put into use the newly constructed hostel accommodation for female students of the university. The committee has the following as terms of reference:

i. To advise the management on the type of students to be accommodated in the hostel.

ii. To recommend human and materials resources needed for the hostel.

iii. To work on rules and regulations to guide the use of the hostel.

iv. To work on inclusion and exclusion to be used for the accommodation.

v. To work on any other matters incidental to the assignment

vi. To submit report within two (2) weeks from the date of the notification of assignment.

I wish to report that this committee worked within the time frame and operated in line with the terms of reference given. We did not leave any stone unturned in our assignment and we have made appropriate recommendations for the management’s consideration and approval. Mr. Vice Chancellor Sir, on behalf of every member of the committee, I thank you for the opportunity to serve the University community”, she submitted.

Responding, the University helmsman, Professor ‘Lanre Olaniyan appreciated the Chairperson and members of the committee for the good job done and promised that Management shall consider the report and approve accordingly. According to the renowned economist, “today my joy knows no bounds as I receive your committee’s report on behalf of the University management. This development is clearly confirming our readiness to admit our first set of students this year. I must confirm that all is set for resource verification and very soon admission exercise shall take off. From this report, one hundred and eighty six (186) female students are to be accommodated in that female hostel and it is a good way to start. The hostel is the first on this campus and it shall be multiplied soon. I thank the TETFUND leadership for this gesture. I equally appreciate former Provosts for their sincere efforts. Big kudos to your committee too, once again”.

The committee has Dr. (Mrs.) Ikeoluwa Adeoye as its Chairperson and Mrs. Olufunke A. Atilola (Rep. of Registry) as Secretary while Engr. Olufemi O. Akindele (Rep. Work & Physical Planning); Dr. Ademola Atanda (V. C Nominee); Mr. Ayodele A. Ajayi (Rep. of Bursary);Dr. Wole Akinlabi (DSA);CSP Cyprian Ugwoke (CSO)- all served as members of the committee.
