Former Oyo State lawmaker, Hon. Femi Julius Okedoyin, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde over his appointment as the Chairman of the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission.
Hon. Okedoyin, who represented Saki West State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, was appointed by Governor Makinde as the Chairman of the Commission, following the reconstitution of the board.
In a statement, the Chairman thanked Governor Makinde for the confidence reposed in him, saying “I am overwhelmed with gratitude and I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure that the Commission delivers on its mandate and supports the legislative arm of Government to achieve its goals.”
The new Chairman of Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission also extended his gratitude to the Deputy Governor, Barr. Adebayo Lawal, Oyo Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, and PDP leaders – Chief Michael Koleosho, Otunba Seye Famojuro, and Hon. Farinto among others
“I am overwhelmed with joy for the opportunity giving to me by Governor Seyi Makinde to lead the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission as its new Chairman. Let me also say that I am honored to have worked with the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin during my time in the House, and I am ready to work with him again as the Chairman of the House of Assembly Service Commission.”
Hon. Okedoyin also thanked the PDP leaders, saying “I am grateful for the support and endorsement of our party leaders, without whom this appointment would not have been possible.”
The former lawmaker promised to work with his fellow Commissioners – Hon. Moses Olawuyi Ojoawo, Hon. Olanrewaju Oladimeji, Hon. Adekunle Iyanda Alabanla, and Hon. Samson Bamidele Ojo, to ensure the success of the Commission.
The Oyo State House of Assembly had earlier endorsed Okedoyin’s appointment, along with other members of the board, during a plenary session.
