Honourable Wasilat Adegoke, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, has acknowledged the concerns and frustrations of the youth across the nation as they planned to have National Protest. In a gathering aimed at finding solutions, she emphasized the importance of collaboration between government and youth to address issues that concerns youth sector.

Honourable Adegoke recognized the critical role of youth in driving positive change and building peace, stressing that peace is a state of mind and a way of life that values respect, empathy, and understanding. She called for collective efforts to create a culture of peace, celebrating differences and diversity.

The Commissioner assured the youth of Governor Seyi Makinde’s full support, as well as that of other appointees, in ensuring peace and prosperity in Oyo State. She proposed organizing peace-building initiatives and events to bring people together and promote unity.

Honourable Wasilat Adegoke also expressed her heartfelt appreciation to key stakeholders for their invaluable contributions and cooperation, RT. Hon. Deborah Ogundoyin, Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Dr. Seun Fakorede, Executive Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Sports, Hon. Adebowale Falana, Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Hon. Victor Olojede, Special Adviser to the Governor on Student Affairs, Comr. Michael Ogunsina, State PDP Youth Leader, Hon. Quadri, Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Student body leaders and other youth organization stakeholders for their tireless efforts, input, and unwavering support in driving youth development in Oyo State.

Their collaborative spirit and dedication to the youth have been instrumental in shaping a brighter future for the young people of Oyo State. Commissioner emphasized that peace is a collective responsibility and urged everyone to embrace, nurture, and pass it on to future generations.
