Residents of Ward 10 in Ibadan North Local Government Area are set to receive support through a new initiative launched by their Councilor, Hon. Habeeb Alayande.

This program aims to alleviate poverty by providing financial assistance directly to Ward 10 residents.

During a recent gathering at New Eden Primary School beside Premier Hotel Junction, Oremeji, Ward 10, Hon. Habeeb distributed application forms for the poverty alleviation program, marking a significant step towards fulfilling his campaign promises.

Emphasizing the importance of delivering on commitments, especially in challenging economic times, he underscored the need to uplift residents facing financial hardship.

“I believe in making promises and fulfilling them, especially now when many are feeling the economic pinch,” Hon. Habeeb stated.

“Extending a helping hand to uplift our community is crucial, and as your representative, I am dedicated to bringing tangible benefits of democracy to Ward 10.”

While distributing the forms yesterday, Hon. Habeeb Alayande praised the commitment of the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, to the welfare of all residents.

Hon. Habeeb Alayande announced that the disbursement of funds under the program will target 100 beneficiaries and will commence in the first week of August. Each month, 5 to 10 people will receive ₦10,000 each to complement the existing efforts of the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, aimed at improving livelihoods within the local government.

“I commend Chairman Olufade for his leadership and welfare initiatives in Ibadan North,” added Hon. Habeeb.

“Just as he prioritizes the welfare of our entire local government, I am equally committed to ensuring Ward 10 receives its fair share of support.”

Residents of Ward 10 expressed optimism about the program’s potential to make a meaningful impact, with assurances from Hon. Habeeb of transparent and fair distribution of funds to beneficiaries starting early next month.

The initiative represents a proactive approach towards addressing economic challenges at the grassroots level, fostering community development and resilience.
