As we mark the beginning of the New Islamic year, the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, has felicitated with Muslim youths on the Hijrah 1446 celebration, praying for peace, unity, and progress in our communities and beyond.

In a statement released and made available to newsmen by the Head of the Media Unit to the Chairman, Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates, Prince Adebowale urged Muslim youth to emulate the conduct of Prophet Mohammed (SAW), including strong faith, complete submission to Allah’s will, perseverance, and trustworthiness.

He advised the youths against engaging in politics with bitterness and violence, stating that the celebration remains a symbol of hope and resilience while exploring the spiritual aspects of Hijrah and its connection to forgiveness and mercy.

The statement read in part:

“Happy Hijrah 1446 AH to Muslim youths across the Pacesetter State.

As we commemorate the journey of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), let us draw inspiration from his courage, compassion, and wisdom. Let us renew our commitment to our values and strive for excellence in all we do.

I urge all Ummah to migrate from what is bad to what is good. The spiritual lessons of the day must be a guiding principle for human closeness with Allah.

Hijrah symbolizes a tribute to the brave and dedicated companions who accompanied the Prophet on his journey.

It is a narrative retelling of the Prophet’s journey from Mecca to Medina.

To all our Muslim brothers and sisters, we wish you a happy and peaceful Hijrah celebration. May this special day bring joy, love, and togetherness to all.

Wishing all Muslim youths a blessed and joyful Hijrah celebration! May this Islamic New Year bring new beginnings, fresh starts, and countless blessings to all Muslim youths. Happy Hijrah.”
