It was a carnival atmosphere at Prime Minister Ward, Isale-Basorun Ward 04, as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem, his Vice Hon. Badmus Ismail Olaide, and all the Councilorship candidates concluded their Zonal campaign rally ahead of the upcoming local government elections.

The Wabkem campaign train, led by its Director-general, Hon. Gabriel Olusegun Oyeleke, was received amidst funfair and pageantry, demonstrating the readiness of voters to legitimately exercise their franchise for PDP candidates across the Royal council.

In his speech, the state legal adviser of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Barrister Waheed Gbadegesin, lauded the Party leaders, stakeholders, and faithful members of Atiba local government for upholding the integrity of the party, urging them not to relent in their efforts to ensure a landslide victory.

“Here in Atiba, we’ve done everything right to present a credible and acceptable candidate. We’re poised to win massively on Saturday across units and wards in Atiba local government. This is the People’s Party PDP; voters are fully prepared to vote en masse for PDP, and we won’t deny them democratic dividends.”

Also speaking on behalf of the Atiba B.O.T Chairman, Alhaji Quadri Olatunji stated clearly that PDP will win across all 33 LGs and 351 wards in Oyo State.

“Our opposition is in a state of anxiety due to the upcoming election, reaffirming PDP’s victory at the polls. We urge our opposition to vote for PDP and join the moving train. Effective grassroots administration is a fundamental objective of PDP.”

He further urged voters to reject any forms of chaos or security threats orchestrated by the opposition party, assuring them of free, fair, and credible elections coupled with security.

The party flag was presented to the honorable councilor proposed to represent the good people of Ward 04, Hon. Adewale Afeez.

Leader of the House, Atiba legislative arms, Hon. Sunday Fadiran, expressed confidence in Wabkem/Olaide’s ability to elevate the Royal Council to greater heights and assured PDP members of a massive victory this coming Saturday.

He urged party members to continue with the house-to-house campaign, emphasizing that together, Wabkem/Olaide would make Atiba great again.

Earlier in his speech, Hon. Sunday Fadiran congratulated the chairman ahead of the OYSIEC victory confirmation, urging him to partner effectively with the co-member of ALGON.

He further urged party members and residents to be patient with the incoming administration, stating that the new administration needs thorough scrutiny on how to ensure dividends are delivered to the masses.

“This incoming executive will not withhold what belongs to the Legislative, the masses, the party, and the entire Royal council,” he assured.

In their separate remarks, the vice Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Badmus Ismail Olaide, promised to work collaboratively with the executive Chairman to elevate the Royal Council. He explained the case of the struck-out certificate by a judge of the Oyo Federal High Court, which was presumed by an uneducated party member, leading him to extinction.

Olaide assured voters of projects to be commissioned by the State governor in Atiba within their first three months in government, should fortune smile on them at the polls.

He further assured them of free, fair, and credible elections devoid of violence, urging the opposition to refrain from cross-influence threats and to engage in effective campaigning processes.

Similarly, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji Wabkem assured stakeholders and faithful voters that their demands would be properly addressed when he assumes office. He requested their prayers for him to achieve the pinnacle of development in transforming the Royal council.
